How are things going without half of the MTE’s? Seems like laying off so many of them may have been a huge mistake!

It’s what happens when clueless bean counting consultants tell clueless bean counting executives who to cut when said consultants have no idea what it takes to run a technical organization. “Look at all the money we saved you!” the clueless consultants say, as they line their pockets with money happily paid by the clueless executives.
Good luck with that. Sounds like a recipe for burnout.
My group is really feeling it. Projects being moved to the remaining engineers who have no background in the particular products/technologies, so a lot of catch up needing to be done while still completing our existing workload
Honestly?
I haven't noticed a huge difference.
The difference I do notice is that morale is in the toilet. But productivity, workload, etc? Not so much.
The reality is that the MTE ranks were not as effective as they could/should have been. Too little prioritization and execution, too much bureaucracy, and OF COURSE inept leadership up to Pete.
The first three are what caused the fourth one to see it as a chance for reduction. A tremendous mistake but now JT and others remain too inept to right the ship.
Plus more reductions came through quietly last week.
Glad to hear it! All those tires and 10 dollar coffees will save the company!
All tire making has been outsourced so we are golden, thank you.
