I'm so damn happy at the prospect of a new job with new problems, new people, and new opportunities! I was getting burned out on all the processes at Viasat, and the same stuff over and over again. If I can find a new opportunity I'm going to be a lot happier.

Positive that the company is failing
Laid off in March. Depending on your role and seniority, the job search can range from difficult to brutal. There is a lot of competition for roles due to all of the tech layoffs over the past year and a half. It feels like things may be starting to get a little better but the holidays are known to be a slow time of year for recruiting, so we’ll have a better sense in January.
I am so ready to retire. Layoff is a good time for me.
For those that were laid off in March or last week (like me), how is the job search going?
Never been out of work and 20 years experience. I’m in my early 50’s.
That is definitely the right attitude! Good luck in the hunt for a new role. There will be others following, whether it be voluntarily or as part of the per-quarter RIF.
