Employee Survey - who benefits?

What reason does Lowe’s even have for having all stores participate in this employee survey? Who benefits ? It has to cost quite a bit of money to have this ( supposed?) third party company to create and handle all of these. Since no one ever sees any results come out of them, what is the purpose at all?

The surveys are mainly used to rate the management staff in each store and are viewed from corporate as a referendum on the store manager specifically.

“The problem with the surveys (is) the employees.” Think about what you’re saying…it proves the point that the employees may be onto something! If “they” don’t care…maybe self-protection is the wisest option, at least until you’re ready to leave on your own terms.

The problem with the surveys are the employees. The majority are too afraid to tell the truth. They think for whatever reason there's going to be some retaliation that comes back to them or they believe if they lie and say only positive things, they're gonna get a raise or something.
Nothing ever changes because most surveys always come out positive and higher management thinks they're doing a great job.
I'm sorry, but people need to stop being soft because management couldn't care less about you. It has been and will always be about them.

He HAH! This is simple. Senior Management benefits. The purpose of these "surveys" is to find out if Management is properly screwing their employees. If the survey comes back "positive", that is a sign to Management to cut more pay and benefits. If a survey comes back "negative", that is a sign that Management is on the right track with cutting pay and benefits. No more to it than that.

I'd be willing to bet that the supposed 3rd party that issues the survey is owned by Lowes through a chain of shell companies and LLCs. Just like how Lowes uses shell companies and LLCs to own the properties the stores are on.
