Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

We are in this together

As we all know, Viasat has recently undergone “significant organizational changes”. Understandably these changes are difficult for all stakeholders. However, I’m confident that Viasat will support our remaining team members during this difficult period. We must encourage each to continue working hard and supporting each other as we move forward. I guarantee our management teams are ready to offer us support that we may need. Remember, things happen that we don’t expect and that are out of our control, but we are family here at Viasat and we are all in this together.

Your sentence hurt me ...
"I guarantee our management teams are ready to offer us support that we may need"

Management is the reason we are here. No worries you will be on the other side of the forum next quarter :)

Look at the Executive Support Travel Tracking Report that leaked. See how much money they burn on luxury travel that’s done so frequently for no purpose whatsoever.

Yeah you can tell Guru wastes a ton of money on his flights and hotels stays. It’s like $10-$20k every week. It’s all available on travel tracker if you search his last name.

Unfortunately the company is run by a boys club that still awards friends.
Recent hire Guru who only flies private as compared to commercial ( check his resume) is an insult on cost savings. There is a concern he is not an American citizen which is a sensitive topic regarding government contracts

Is this a copy paste of a company wide message from Guru?

I fear fear for Viasat's future. Too many high performers were let go. If you have the skills to get a job elsewhere, update your resume and see if you can get any bites before the next 2 rounds of layoffs.
