Did anyone else get a notification Social Thursday is cancelled for November with no context? I assume it’s part of cost cutting - but why did they wait so long?

Considering the EC held a pickle ball tournament and social hour on campus the same day they announced Nov layoffs, the worker bees are not treated like actual humans or "valued associates" inside the ivory tower.
Yep got it too. Thought maybe they thought it was a bad look to be doing that while they are doing layoffs and freezing/closing open positions. Maybe they'll throw a pizza party to boost morale though lol
