It appears the only business plan Vena is competent of is firing people to make money. I truly wonder if he has a clue on anything else. He has never shown anything but fire fire fire. It will be interesting to see how many executives get to keep their personal assistants after cutting all the real help below director. I mean we all have to do extra work does the leadership team get to keep their personal party/travel planners.

UP lesdership....Question....should we fire 10 people making $100k each ($1m) who do all the work or fire 2 AVPs who make $500k each ($1m) and pretend to lead, make very poor decisions and get in the way. He had opportunity to de layer and get rid of the growth stunters and he did not. He let Mr Roker and others save their buddies instead of getting rid of dead weight. Clearly he can't lead....and was afraid to rid UP of the buddy system.
He's still at Everest base camp for the 5th time ....no wonder he's never made it past base camp. Climbing to summit, no different than leading a Fortune 100 company. It takes a team....it means believing in and trusting each other, not firing them, cutting their oxygen or shoving them off the cliff. Do the calculus mr vena.....0x0 is 0. You will stay at base camp and never advance with the wrong and much less people in place. We need your end game.
He’s a one trick pony. The hedge funds thought he could make it happen again with huge gains. The problem is that it’s hard to get milk from a dead cow. It’s easy to make a quick buck by cutting on a healthy company but tougher yet to make more money on a company in trouble. Vena is no Jim Young. He doesn’t have a clue how to grow a business so he’s between a rock and a hard place. The board of directors/hedge funds will be looking for someone else soon enough……
They were just posting a job for an exec Admin Assistant recently despite a hiring freeze for other jobs, so I don't think the cuts will touch the remaining admins.
Vena acts like he is a guru. We all know he is a hired goon.
These managers haven’t done anything I productive in years so letting them go is a great thing for the company…When craft employees got furloughed they laughed at that during PSR now it’s their turn and we hoping they keep cutting these managers
The business plan is not really a plan….it’s a scheme. First, put Vena in power….second, have him fire/layoff to the bare minimum….third, stock price goes up….lastly, cash out and leave.
Why would anything be different than last time he was here? Your in denial if you don’t believe the hedge funds are in control of this company.
He’s a charlatan
