I got laid off and ended up needing psychiatric help. F*ck the EC and every leader who made the decision to put each name on the layoff list. I hope you’re smug and satisfied now justifying making me and obviously others feel this way. Thanks for triggering the mental health issues. I hope you’re happy with yourself.

You need to read a book entitled "Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin.
A victim is somebody who can do nothing. Is that true for you? Is there NOTHING you could have or can do?
Also read "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Dr. Stephen Covey. See esp Habit 1: Be proactive.
Best therapy you'll get and the price is that of a couple of used books!
Sounds like they got rid of a liability
You are nothing but a number. Easily replaceable. Every ounce of energy you put in this company was a waste of your life.
OP you are stronger than most of us to recognize you need help and to get it.
Lot of us don't even have the courage to do that.
99% of the time, it's the circumstances that are to be blamed and not individuals for most situations. So you are a victim of circumstances and not your own doing.
With that, there is lot to look forward to in life, and Schwab is probably not even on the list. So you now have better chance to be happy then most of the folks working a Schwab.
You aren’t alone - the stress from all of this triggered my depression and anxiety too. For people who don’t struggle with mental health, they don’t get it. I’m glad you went to a psychiatrist, mine saved my life many years ago. Sending hugs to OP.
They don’t care about your need to see a psychiatrist. Why have you given them so much power over you? The answer to that question is why you have had to see a psychiatrist- not because of your perception of what the EC did to you. Take ownership of where your life has led.
I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
