If something like the above happened, and Nordstrom management confiscated your cell phone and hid in some drawer somewhere... do you understand the ramifications Nordstrom?????

A member of management cannot confiscate your cell phone, they can ask you to put it away, but they legally cannot take it from you and hide it somewhere while you work. If someone did that to me I would call the police.
Ha ! Grow up. No need to confiscate someone’s cellphone. What is this? Junior high? Just send them home. Nordstrom managers do love making a scene and hostile work environment. Never change.
We survived many years without cell phones at work. We had family emergencies, etc. Cell phones on the job are a destraction from your job! Grow up!
