Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

More layoffs

more layoffs today....our entire team is gone.
I have to say I am sick of this, and am glad to get paid for a few months. It just makes me sad that I put in so many hours of overtime (weekends and after-hours) for many years, only to be let go and treated like I wasn't important at all.

it's a few more from the now-defunct GPD org as the cloud transformation continues to close out.

I dont think its true, its a wind up with no details. If it is true, where is this team and what did they do?

After 10 years... it was good time in Sabre... so it is difficult to hear lies and nonsenses at the end. IMHO it is good to get honest especially in hard situations. You can wish me good luck somewhere else.

i wouldn't be surprised if there are more layoffs coming. the cuts are probably being done in stages to avoid triggering WARN act notifications

Your praised as Sabre’s greatest asset till your a Liability!! Hard to not take personal when one gave so much to receive more praise. Life Lesson look out for yourself first. Good luck to all of us trying to hang on till something comes along..

It's not personal to them - just projects and numbers. But it can be hard not to take it personally. I hope you and your team find better places to continue your careers, and help each other along the way.
P.S. HR isn't your friend either

the only thing surprising is the timing

Lesson 1
Work to live. Do not live to work.

Lesson 2
If you work double the hours that you are paid for then you have halved your hourly pay rate.

Lesson 3
Your boss is not your friend.
