Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Bank error in schwab's favor? Annual business days used in calc. seems off.

The SPD defines annual business days as 264 and uses this in the denominator to calculate everyone's severance payout. Industry standard is 260 (2080÷8). Looking at the calendar and counting the days, 2023 is 260 and 2024 is 262. 264 seems arbitrary and inflated, resulting in a reduced payout amount to everyone. Is this a mistake that should be challenged or what am i missing?

Good luck. I’m trying to get answers about sabbatical payout since it was scheduled and approved.

I wonder if the that’s because of the two floating holidays that they pay out separately like PTO.

It is an error or mistake, whatever, I am going to call and give them cr-p about it, a working year is not 264, they are shorting us about 20 percent of a paycheck, I suggest all those affected like me do the same, why leaving your severance money on the table?

You would be fighting a loosing battle - I am sure they have looked and looked at the calculation(or at least their consulting company did). Time to MOVE on
