Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

If nothing changed on the Exec level, do we really stand a chance to improve?

This is a honest question. I am not trying to pour more oil to the fire but I think this is a legit question.

Maybe the board should think twice about what's going on on the ground.

Seriously....

We have multiple c level(EC) past retirement already or here for for 25+ years. I was expecting some of that to be included. We need new blood up top for sure

On top of that some also have a bit of a chip on their shoulders and are not open to external opinions, the typical im smarter than everyone (ie: our CTO)...

Combined we are still stuck in the rut, a major rut. They rearranged the deck chairs but not the captains quarters which is required to change course of the boat.

As one impacted, all i can say is "Who cares?" I personally couldn't care less about what happens there anymore ....except for maybe a little good PR to pull the stock out of the gutter, so i can dump the rest of what i have. :-)

Change is tough, but everything in this life happens for a reason. I was there a long time and it was a great gig for a while, but times have changed. I am happy to be moving on after what I have seen and experienced in recent times. I am glad to have been freed from the self-imposed shackles that have been holding me back from something more fullfilling. I am also greatfull to be given something to help with the transition. Time to experience more of what life offer and try something new.

Culture is broken there. No looking back. Best wishes to all in the journey forward regardless of what side of the cut you may be on.

We are on the Titanic…the EC is is just rearranging the deck chairs.

Boards and the EC work at a different level, literally.

And, no, nothing will change. 40,000 people do not change direction quickly. Leaders afraid for their positions do not take risks.

Maybe all the employees can chip in for a crystal ball. No one is omnipotent - not even members of an executive council.
