You are spot on. Same with 2021 layoffs. And as part of the severence documents that you sign, you waive your right to sue for discrimination/protected class.

Company pattern and practice. They know the package is comparable to a settlement in their operating states except CA.

In my 2019 layoff, I noticed that they laid off a lot of older workers along with some younger workers in entry level jobs that were basically on written warning for d-mb sh-t, like calling in hungover every Monday.

They know what they’re doing. If you’ve got over ten years and/or turning 50, watch out.
