Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Can someone confirm?

Was the optional HR meeting invite for this weekend sent to ALL PL’s? Or just those who dept is impacted?

So my manager and her manager (a lower MD… A3?) don’t have these meetings. Does that mean our whole group (not very big) is safe? Damn it I wanted a vacation :-( Even drafted my goodby email. Or does it mean we are all toast?

I tend to think they are about reorgs as well. My director was not scheduled at the Wednesday meeting for how to do layoffs, but she was invited to the HR meeting over the weekend as well as her MD.

Are these private meetings about layoffs only or do they include team reorgs/movements?

I just used the "scheduling assistant" and see my director and MD have something on their calendar both Saturday and Sunday from 1-4p (Central). Ohhh cr-p. I'm a client facing individual contributor. This could be bad guys and gals =(

Is it the 1 hr long meeting or the 2.5 hr long one?

Funny, on my directors calendar the name of the HR meeting is now labeled “private meeting”. :D

And does impact include reorg? Or just layoffs?

PLs with 1. An impact in their org. and 2. Are NOT being laid off themselves.

Definitely NOT all (I have confirmed in the finance org its quite random who does/does not have the invite), so can assume the latter.
