Thread regarding Ford layoffs

EVs are not working for most auto companies

https://www.businessinsider.com/auto-executives-coming-clean-evs-arent-working-2023-10

Many companies are trying to make EVs to win the race against Tesla. They are finally realized that it's not working. The EV companies in the US are pulling back. They loose money for every EV they build. Most customers don't want to buy if it's not a Tesla EV.

During the next 2 years you will witness the rate of dropout from the EVs companies. Tesla will eventually gain the market share for EVs.

The future plan is changing. Ford will dropout of the EV race by next year and switching over to hybrids. There is no profit in making EVs when no one want to buy unless it's a Tesla.

Give it up @pgr+1piQr9BY We have all seen the work products of said individuals. Many of us have had an up close look under the covers.

The problem is there is not a solid code foundation. Yet they spend all their time glueing on bells, whistles and other decorations onto the unstable foundation. Anyone who says ‘hey wait a minute this is not sustainable’ gets ostracized and then eliminated. Oh sure in public they claim they want to know about and fix issues, but that is false. Applause only baby.

This place is a revolving door for tech talent. The disillusionment sets in quickly. First ‘wait this is what you are claiming is state of the art’? Then ‘what we can’t touch the jello’? Then ‘what you think we can hot glue Great code on top of jello and it will work reliably’? Then ‘see ya’

Ford management came up with excuses to give one negative quarterly check in to justifying getting rid of older employees and reduce bonuses. Is losing billions of dollars deserving of a negative check in for the CEO and model e team?

Wouldn't buy or drive a BEV if one was given for free. Not using one until gas is either priced out of reach, or the last gas pump has been removed from existence. Even then, there are still other ways to manage.

Can we cut the HTHD model E salaries and bonuses, since they are losing so much money? Those larger bonuses should go to experienced ICE employees, since they are needed to salvage this company. Getting rid of DFs huge salary as well as whoever gave him so much authority to transform the company into bankruptcy would be an excellent starting point.

Until other automakers start making EVs in a similar way to actually compete with Tesla all they’ll be seen as are ICE vehicles in EV sheep’s clothing. Without good software you can’t compete with Tesla, and all the major automakers don’t think software is worth paying for. Better to hire 5 software engineers for 30k than one good one for $150k

They don't work for me despite all the liberals telling me that they do.

BEVs and EVs can't compete against Toyota's new ammonia fueled ICE.

Cannot lump Ford into the BEV companies that drop out. That is why we have the best tech leadership talent from Tesla, Apple, and HP.
