Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Just remember, the grass isn't always greener on the other side..

I'm talking to the people who did not get offers yesterday and today. Do you really want to work for this company? Look at their history. Look at all of the bs they have already pulled on everyone. You will have to RTO 3 days a week, pay more money monthly in healthcare, and work with pretty subpar internal tools. If you think for a second that there won't be another rif, you are wrong. I almost consider it an opportunity for those who did not receive an offer. If you get a new job sooner rather than later you have an opportunity to make some serious money over the next 6 months. If you got laid off, its not the end of the road. Keep your head up and just know that there is a chance you dodged a bullet

Whatever way it falls on Nov 26th, I'm leaving. Both companies are as bad as each other. Disgraceful disrespectful behavior from both. Deceitful ant under handed. Trust and loyalty works both ways.

Neither greener at BC nor at VMW (if deal fails). The company I loved for years is dead already either way. Executives made sure to ki-l it.

It is truly unbelievable that VMW and BC to see the level of unprofessional and cruel behavior from the executives from both sides. I do understand that this is a business and they are working to maximize profits, but MAN this is a total s***show. The VMW execs don't seem to have the ba--s to admit that they are making the decisions, jockeying for positions to save themselves, and doing everything that they can to remain liked. This idiocy has been festering for months. Offer or no offer, the sane thing is to leave this cesspool. There are many more and better places to continue a career.
