EUC may not have any news till next week. Be patient!
Accounting creativity only shifted the Rev Rec among periods. no impact over periods collectively . It is not even material . What 's wrong with you? Are you a EUC hater? @Post ID: @1yvx+1pgAxkmF
The P&L audit exposed this lie -- the prior Revenue and Profit will be restated.
Accounting creativity must not be applied to VMW financial statements. That's fraud.

I was told we will get letters next week, but not sure why. EUC will be spinoff but this is going to take a while, at least a year.
At least for now, EUC may be the least affected BU, but likely to change post acquisition.
A lot of folks have no clue on the earnings of EUC. It has been producing a ton of revenue, of which 60% has been taken back by VMWare. If anything BC was shocked at the little re-investment and the damage made so far.
And no way Citrix (CSG) can buy EUC. They can barely pay the $16bn Vista spent buying them.
Carbon Black can relate
"VMW EUC will be sold to Cloud Software Group (formerly known as Citrix)"
What a totally depressing outcome for us leftover EUC BU employees. With no future investment in these two legacy software platforms, and only price increases for the installed customer base, this is the most dull and boring outcome that I can imagine.
Therefore, I hope this awful combination doesn't happen.
My speculation (I only have publicly available information) is that VMW EUC will be sold to Cloud Software Group (formerly known as Citrix), alongside or even into the Citrix BU. This will leave less choice for current Citrix customers to migrate from one EUC vendor to another (if they are adamant to move for reasons), and then Vista/CSG can continue to raise renewals on "locked-in" customers so Vista can get their ROI. Honestly, its genius really - Tom Krause prepped CSG for it after leaving VMW. Enterprise customers wont be able to move to Microsoft, or they'd already be there. Other EUC players showing up on the 2023 DaaS Gartner Magic Quadrant could be the target roadmap for Vista to continue acquiring one by one. EUC customers wouldn't have anywhere to go except Microsoft or AWS, where they wouldn't have to continue migrating over years to avoid CSG (if their reason was emotional). /tinfoilhat
The BU will be cast aside by BC due to ongoing management missteps.
Truly, I'm really annoyed with the EUC leadership team. They missed the opportunity to engage the Systems Integrator channel during the pandemic. Also, the leading management consultants are partnering with our competitors because we missed the market opportunity to lead the distributed workforce narrative.
I blame Shankar Iyer and his clueless direct reports. Calling them inept is too kind.
The welcome letter instead of offer letter was mentioned internally as well but no one explains what the difference would be. Also it was stated EUC folks will not have title or comp changes.
My manager told me that EUC employees will get welcome letter instead of offer letter, since Broadcom has a plan to sell EUC within the next few months.
If it's annoying you to see questions about EUC, then get off the feed.
If you don't have anything to share about EUC then get off this feed and keep your bad attitude to yourself.
For everyone else, share what you know. It helps to pass the time.
"Going ahead without China, already announced."
where was this announced?
How many times does the question need to be answered?
The legacy UEM and VDI market is not attractive to BC Software.
Private Equity acquisition is coming soon. Details will follow shortly.
Lol well considering they can do business in China without approval it just needs to be a seperate company shows how little you know.
Nothing is stopping Hock from saying "Broadcom China" and "VMware China" are their own companies. Problem solved.
For euc I am betting on a buyout based on what I have heard and the fact that the conversations on various zooms was "focus on euc accounts only"

To be honest about it, the China effect has kicked in. China has to approve the deal and I don't think they will due to the geopolitical chip situation. It did not help when hock moved his head office to the USA either. Hock won't go ahead without China as his raw materials are there and if he does push ahead without China, xi will sink broadcom and hock knows this.
Wow, no word until next week. That's brutal but thank you for sharing. Hearing something is better than nothing.
Aside from rumors, the only thing I’ve heard is that we probably won’t hear anything until next week. Which makes me wonder if we really did get bought out.
