Thread regarding 3M layoffs

My position was eliminated at 3M a year ago, how do I go about getting a contract position?

After 25+ years at 3M, my position was eliminated last year. I am now ready to go back to work. And I am only interested in working at 3M. How does one find a contract position at 3M?

Avoid JLL, they are a scam! No one is happy once they settle in, oh and costs will skyrocket, Run!!

why would you want to re-join back this toxic company, where they laid you off in the first place?

It might sound d-mb, one thing to consider is to reach out to your old boss. They might be willing to get you connected to an open position or a manager with an open position.

There is a 95% chance your old boss didn't want to let you go and would be willing to help if they can.

If you're seriously looking that way your best bet is to start with a temporary agency that contracts with 3M. If you've got any contacts with your former workgroup or an area you want to work in, network and find out what might be available. Another option would be to look at JLL, the IFM that 3M's brought in to take over the bulk of their EWS operations. Not that I'd wish working for that outfit on many people, mind you.

You need to reconnect w/ your old 3M network to get the inside track. I'm thrilled to have found life outside of 3M after my elimination, but to each their own.
