Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Zero Trust

Yes, what a timing and topic for the CTO FORUM today " ZERO TRUST". Do you all sense a hidden reason behind that topic?

@1gfs+1pftzHAc you absolutely should blame walt. Leaders either caused, enabled or allowed issues to happen. the buck stops with him, and if things arent being passed down then he was the person who said "this is how it is going to be".

you can also blame any EC member who stand idly by and just lets it happen to, instead of saying "i dont think this is a good idea". this place is a clear demonstration of how not to lead

I recall being invited to a meeting about "Zero Trust" shortly after Schwab started to ruin TDA and thinking it was quite appropriate. The meeting was cancelled (and not rescheduled while I was there, at least not on my calendar). "Oh, I guess they figured out how insensitive the timing of that meeting, with that title, and that audience, was." I was wrong.

@1ftm+1pftzHAc Blame Walt as he is not holding his leaders accountable for delivering his message. He is at the helm and if he is giving information and they are not sharing it out then that is at his leadership level.

I threw up in my mouth watching Tim with his sh-t eating grin during this zero trust presentation. His CTO forums are worthless.

Don't blame Walt, he is communicating well but the information is not reaching the masses. Who should we blame for that?

Zero Trust in this context is not with the EC or management. It is a type of security model, or architecture model, where you treat security concerns as perimeterless, meaning you must authenticate and authorize every actor, whether its on the "outside" or "inside". In practice this means every service request requires a token that can be authenticated, and then used to authorized the required access.

Well WE have zero trust so I’d say the meeting was a success before it started. ;)
