You can divest prb and even anadarko basin. Keep permian, ef and bakken. This could work and dvn is undervalued right now …lost of synergies in permian and ef
Doesnt seem like COP strategy has been to buy a smattering of assets outside of what our core objective has been. Devon purchase would include offices in Oklahoma City (problem), assets in PRB (problem as we have no bench strength there). For those reasons, I don't think we would buy the $30B company. However, we do have the financial strength so we may have to cook something up to further grow our company.
Yes, it's a deal Matt Fox has secretly been pushing with RL. Fox is acting as a go-between with Devon and us.
