McKinsey take down

As many of you know McKinsey consultants are very active in advising the SLT leadership and management.

Comedian John Oliver ran a piece on their activities last Sunday;

Now whether you like John Oliver or not is beside the point. The things that are pointed out and joked upon regusrding McKinsey’s practiced during the piece feel and sound eerily familiar to what we have seen and experienced. In particular at 8:43 and their parody recruitment video at end about laying off everyone and inflating executive salaries.

Have a look it’s creepy how much of what is shown and discussed is similar or exactly what has also happened here.

Exactly! Our leaders did this pivot for financial reasons. They justified it through finances…. Only to put us into a different game with different finances. They are completely out of their league when it comes to business based decisions and choices. They are so inept and in over their heads they couldn’t see what their choices were actually doing.

Haha I had same thought. It is exposing those genius consultants who like to remain covert….. guys you realize by down voting the bashing of a different company on the Globalfoundries board you are showing your cards?? Hahaha mo--ns.

Very accurate video. Essentially if you have to hire McKinsey then it is data showing your Senior Leadership Team (SLT) does not have the right skills to run the company. Of course, since the SLT is clueless then a company like McKinsey comes in and can tell them anything and the SLT will su-k up whatever they are told because they are clueless!!!

GF has NO FUTURE unless the SLT gets their head out of their a$$es and figures out how to be a differentiated foundry and funds differentiation. Being an average or bottom feeding foundry like UMC or SMIC or Tower Jazz, they will never compete financially with those companies. Instead, they need to differentiate to charge more for their wafers.
