Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

SIGNIFICANT Layoffs Oct 17th. Proof 👇. Avaya Social Media is Bullying People to Not Talk

This Post follows ALL The layoff.com Rules. It can't be Removed even if Avaya is Paying the site marketing $$ to remove Posts

24-hours prior to Avaya releasing it's spin Customer Annual Report to imply that Avaya is growing and thriving, they hosted dozens of mass layoff calls across the United States and Canada

+ Reports DIRECTLY from those impacted include SERVICES/ SALES/ OPERATIONS. Many reports of total elimination of the middle-level of Sales Management Regional Sales Leaders. Even reports where RSLs were eliminated then asked to fire members of their team immediately following their own termination!

+ Most disturbing is Avaya corporate bullying people on The layoff implying there were no such layoffs and to not believe anything you read.

+ Most entertaining is the fact that Avaya employees can be held liable for comments made if they believe they are representing Avaya. If one is just sharing it has no consequence. But if an Avaya official is bullying people to scare them, that is actionable.

+ AND, it's against the law to discourage impacted employees from sharing Avaya can't take any action against anyone. Severance or no severance agreement. It is federal law. It is civil rights law. Any ex employee can share their experience with no consequence.

+ Report Violations to OIGHOTLINE@nlrb.gov

Will this be the beginning of the end for the head of World Wide Sales?

And now the mass hiring of Genesys Sales leaders is underway!
The impacted sales leaders need to take action once these names are announced in December.

The corporate trolling to dismiss any talk of the layoffs, missed revenue (significant miss) is astounding. They are parading around publicly declaring thousands of new customers, yet spend working hours trying to get posts removed? It doesn't add up. What else are they hiding now?

I've started reading this forum about a year before the first chapter 11, and since then there has been so many leeks here that I lost count, so trust me when I say Avaya is powerless regarding this site.
They don't own it nor have any influence over it than any of us. Unless of course, you think they decided to host hundreds of other forums here just to be able to control this one, in which case they are doing their job so poorly that we have a leaks on a monthly basis.

Site owners/mods are the ones checking posts and nixing stuff for ToS violations, so If one of your post got the axe, it's probably because of f-bombs or throwing personal shade – that's a no-go here, and it's what usually triggers the mods to hit the delete button. Also, steer clear of dropping names or personal info about non-public figures, 'cause that's off-limits too. C-suite folks are fair game (you can name and critique them, just as long as you strictly stick to their professional competencies), but when it comes to middle management or employees, keep it vague. Don't spill their name or spill too many details like where they work and their exact role – that's a fast track to getting nuked, and you might even catch a ban for it.
If you catch a ban, mods nuke everything you ever written and ban you from posting any further for awhile. It usually brushes off in a few days, but I had a colleague who couldn't post for a whole month.

Btw, anyone can report a post for ToS violations, so before posting make sure your post is kosher.

"Equipment"

  • when they spend ALL Energy speaking of Cloud and SaaS

"Over 8k Employees and Nearly $3b in Revenue"

  • Just Wow

That anyone would spend time trying to take down others while being asleep at the wheel with something as basic as an accurate company description! Ha ha ha ha ha!
Priorities. So sad.

You'd think the communications resources would spend more energy updating the Avaya description on this site than policing or making fun of people inquiring about COBRA.Priorities.

This is a well written and accurate post.
It would appear Avaya marketing is ticked off because they wanted the new Annual Report to get the attention and not the reality -- Cost Cutting Job Eliminations.

Annual report is marketing spin. We don't have to share verifiable #s or adhere to an audit. These thousands of new customers are all existing clients who just hadn't bought anything in 2 years. That's not a new customer, and they know it. Avaya is shrinking. Not growing.

No one is implying that layoffs didn’t happen, the original poster of this thread is known for exaggerating, that’s all.

Why are people trying to imply the layoffs didn't happen?
I'm so confused.
