Thread regarding Northwestern Mutual layoffs

How much does a Sr. D make?

Hones to goodness, how much do they actually make? Are they below the midpoint like the rest of us?

Who are these “real” VP’s since they all have the same title

Only real VPs get that level of comp structure, not the fake VP title they created in 2019 when all senior directors titles were changed to VP and all directors were made SD’s.

Seriously, as a VP the bonus is 100% of your salary? Thats crazy…

Only 1/2 of SDs will be awarded a long term incentive. It isn’t everyone. It really is limited to half.

SD's get long term incentive pay on top of AIP which can be in the 10's of thousands.

All position minimums, midpoints, and maximums are posted in the DC. You can search technology salary ranges and there's an excel sheet that shows all department ranges post the launch of the T-track.

In a nutshell, the SD range is not that much higher than AD, but because so many of them have been there a long time their comp ratios are much higher.

VP is where the money is. That's when you go to the executive comp structure where AIP payouts are at least 100% of your salary versus the 7-15% of the lower levels.
