Happens every year so this isn’t news anymore. I would gladly accept the severance package and find a better place to work.

Despite the split, the 130+ year tradition of US layoffs will continue, and shouldn’t surprise anyone. This will allow those laid off to give thanks for nothing during Thanksgiving, and not expect any gifts on Christmas. NCR will then spin it off as a great Q4. The culture is cheap labor. Period. If you don’t believe it then you haven’t been here long enough.
