Managers were given training today on how to lay off their employees (including a script to use) and are expected to do the layoffs tomorrow. More coming worldwide, but dates will differ due to laws being different depending on the country.

A friend was just layed off today. She is a new university hire with just a few months of experience. Very cr-ppy thing for NCR to do. You just don’t lay someone off right out of college like that. She has other offers she could have taken. NCR is not to be trusted

I heard via the grapevine that people had been RIFed. But they didn’t say who, and our amazing, dynamic department head, who is normally online ALL the time, hasn’t been at his desk for two hours.The only one who’s out of contact. The manager reads a script to you on a teams call with HR on as well, my manager wouldn’t even look up as he read it to me, the entire 4 minutes was recorded. After getting terminated they ask for a personal email account, as soon as the meeting ends your RIF package is emailed to you, it will detail your severance and what you need to do, your NCR lan account will be disabled and locked out, and your cell phone will factory reset. Been through it all last year.

Why would they need a script? Has been done so much over last 15 years, one would think it was second nature to them.
