Medical genomics was, is and will always be a joke. Success Theatre x 1000.
No one to blame but the “leaders” there.
R&D Bioninformatics / DRAGEN SW team was affected, at least 1 confirmed.
Which seems like a great decision, that team was definitely understaffed and underutilized aggressive amounts of sarcasm

Bard is Google's AI (Google's ChatGPT). Seems like someone is using Bard for their responses, which begs the question, if there are layoffs, maybe we don't need this HR person? Especially when they can't even do the copy-and-paste part correctly.
I also don't get why the response would state "While we strive to offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, we acknowledge that we are not a good payer in the market." Seems like an odd comment and one that a company wouldn't make.

Hi Aimee Hoyt disciple on this thread. The promotion process was shrouded in secrecy and very few people who were eligible received them. The Vivek Ramaswamy wanna be CFO also announced that VPs were entitled to receive a big fat bonus because they aren’t peasants.

The VP bonus was approved and confirmed by the CEO as well. It was mentioned these folks carry the weight of the business and are expected to do “big” things. They were rewarded apparently. The dollar amount is unknown.
