All jobs posted are 100% on-site. Only a matter of time before we are all back in 5 days per week.
There were restrictions but now even those that were approved are getting canceled with very few exceptions.
Someone made a comment in this thread about those who were let go getting severance pay and going forward who knows? Well my opinion is they will use this upcoming review period to weed out some people without a package. Predicting a lot of surprise met some and does not meets come March.
Friend of mine just got hired so freeze is only for low talents

Your Opportunity:
This is a entry-level position with the Desktop Support group of our client., and will focus on providing real-time support for technology problems and fulfillment services (move, add, or change requests) for our Schwab internal customers. What you'll do:
Work with a team of Desktop Support technicians in one of the service centers at Schwab with over XXXX users. System administration of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac OS X desktops and laptops. Provide hands-on installation, troubleshooting and technology support for desktops, laptops, monitors and personal printers.
Also required to provide phone support and remote assistance as needed.
Deploy and reclaim computer equipment [from the recent WFR, haha!] which includes maintaining asset management database with current status. Document work in various tools. (Remedy, Clarity) Provide excellent customer support to Schwab employees. Work at multiple sites. Flexible Hours 8 -4:30 or 8:30 - 5:00

Does a hiring freeze prohibit internal movement?
The lucky ones were laid off. At least they got a decent severance with theirs. Not sure that’s gonna be the case going forward.

I think I am one of the fortunate 2,000+ who got laid off and I don’t have go through this torture any longer.

They’re not able to think things through. Lay off 3000+ people and open new reqs like a big insult. Then now they close it.

Yes, it was very vague as to the actual impacts, just there there will be impacts
Not for Offshore. They are still lobbying to add more people.
