18-19 was absolutely a bloodbath.
2023 all the contacts I had at GM retired, everyone I knew are all gone now.
They retired wealthy.
I was contract 12 to 18, a bottom feeder that got nothing.
Just start showing up in office in a gimp suit. That should save you.
Sounds like older "high ups" know that targeting of older employees is coming.
They're always the target in layoffs.
Something’s gotta be coming. A lot of 50-59yr old high ups have been leaving. With their battery plant people going union, our battery cost will be astronomical. Union healthcare is superior to salary.

Don’t worry, the government says we (consumers) are resilient, that unemployment is low, inflation low, and that a soft landing is coming.
No need for buyouts when everything is booming.
Gosh just look at the stock market! Roaring bull market. To the moon.
It will probably be a simple one like before the 2018-2019 cuts. It won't be as good as the one this year.
And, if they don't get enough people to take it, it will probably be another bloodbath like 2018-2019.
