Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Attrition Rate

In the old days, people like Eddi Luie used to share the attrition rate in the company. Does the new management do that any more?

Based on what I read here, and hear from my friends, it would be a disaster!!!

The company is so cheap. If it wants to lay off people then just give them severance packages. But instead they do pip and use those stupid middle management mo--ns to belittle people and force them to quit to save money. If people get pip’ed, don’t take it personally, and don’t take those mo--ns seriously. Wait to get your package and leave.

The question is, how long can the MBA holders continue moving technical jobs from high cost countries to India and other low cost countries!

Eventually, the system will fall apart.

When that happens, it will be another classic case study for the MBA schools, just like Enron.

People keep disappearing at the sites. Everything very hush hush.
Suspect it has to do with PIPs.

Honestly, at this stage, any young person who plans on sticking with IOL longterm has a very mediocre and small view of themselves.
