No one was laid off in October you are full of it

You basically can't assume anything. My entire department was 'laid off' prior to October 30th, but that means they are allowed to stay until August. Yet I received no notice and have not received any notice as of this morning. My guess at this stage is that if you have not received a letter by now it is good news since they 'culled the herd' (in America) weeks ago. But, again, anything is possible.
BC agreed to honor VMW holidays. They don’t have Friday off but we do so they will not send any layoff comms during holidays. Expect to see layoff notices on Monday. They won’t waste anymore time.
I assume if you get the second you might be staying on for a bit but not sure. Maybe both went out to everyone?
Merely means your account hasn't been disabled yet. Doesn't mean it won't from Monday onwards.
In a previous job where we got acquired we even all got the invite to an All Staff that was three days after the deal closed and leaver accounts were disabled the night before.
I received both a "To all Employees" comm and a "To all Broadcom Employees" comm from Hock, but no offer letter yet. I'm still assuming I'll see the severance letter Monday.
"I assume if you get the second you might be staying on for a bit but not sure."
I wouldn't assume anything, now that Hock made a big concession to China everything will likely be reassessed. Potentially more cuts to pay for the concession's impact.
Check your emails. HT sent 2, one to all BC employees with the new BUs and appointed leaders one to everyone talking about the merge completion.
Liar Liar pants on fire.
Raghu said Monday is when the comms begin. Hok also sent 2 letters, one addressed to all VMware employees, a second one addressed to all Broadcom employees. I assume if you get the second you might be staying on for a bit but not sure. Maybe both went out to everyone?
