We've been told by management for 3 years we are more efficient WFH. This is fact and has been noted by Ford leadership

Leadership needs to improve the employee efficiency problem at Ford. We are uncompetitive. The current workforce is not efficient and has been discussed at length. There are different ways to do this. Two strategies being considered:

  • Maintain post-2020 hybrid WFH and cut number of FNA employees. You'll get same or similar work output, but with improved efficiency. To boost work output, staffing at global Ford locations can be increased with lower cost.
  • Do not have headcount reductions but RTO full-time in FNA as all employees did in pre-2020, no exceptions. Result is improved employee collaboration and increased work output. Efficiency increases. This is fact and has been noted by Ford leadership.

The path could go either way.
Management is likely reviewing cost/benefit analysis.

No Ford direct cuts this December. However, historically, there are always some agency cuts.

There's always some ahole troll who posts "I know the big one is coming and when it will happen" or "How can I fake working and get more money?". If these are truly employees, it speaks volumes about whats left, talentwise.

Yeah I’m sure they’ll have layoffs when 50% of ford is on vacation.

@1hui+1pGFH6R3 Yes there is always the possibility that Ford hires on a bunch of contractors because they can, and then when a requirement comes down "Cut labor costs however you can..just do it." then they use the contractors they hires as fodder for the meat grinder. Maybe that's a secondary reason they were brought on in the 1st place. Put nothing past them but at the same time, posts like this (OP) are stirring the pot, and lack substance.

OP is just stirring the pot. Provide sources or it’s BS.

@1bzl+1pGFH6R3 I vote you up, since I agree that no employee layoffs will be happening at Ford this year, but I think you are forgetting about contractors. Just before Xmas, Ford had let go agency personnel. Maybe @OP is referring to those (or maybe trolling, I am not sure).
