Never have I heard of overstaffing at a field location. Never, ever. I could certainly detect it at a building filled with suits and skirts though.
Laid off due to money, absolutely the case. Due to overstaffing, they are lying to you.

I'm not a troll. It's what they told me pulled me in a room with someone from HR and said due to overstaffing and money that my role as a maintenance worker was no longer needed.
This is a troll. Been here 20+ years. No one ever let go due to being over staffed.
I’m sorry you have to go through this. What was your role or department? Sales is pretty safe, unless you’re older. Marketing and admins usually are cut first. Good luck in your job search.
