Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

These are not layoffs!!

Theser are not layoffs! These jobs are being outsourced. There is a BIG difference. The admin positions are going to Mexico. Some are going to India but mostly Mexico. Check out the PepsiCo CEO and you will see who will benefit. I see why young people have no loyalties to their employers.

How’s is this legal? How can foreign employees manage American payroll. There needs to be more regulations on these corporations putting Americans personal information at risk.

payroll os in Mexico, payroll admins are training managers how to process, as long as I don't do the payroll, they still need me to fix the issues. payroll is a beast and Mexico doesn't understand it so we payroll admins are here for now.

Not sure where you work, but it’s already happening at Pepsi. If you were promised a package in 2020, you should have it by now. They don’t let an offer like that linger for years. The payroll has been removed from the locations along with the admins. HAPPENED!!!! Not maybe. The rest of the work is going to Mexico, you have to be blind or stupid not to see it. You will have a cashier and an admin……then the 1 admin will go. As soon as they automate driver paperwork, the cashier goes.

I doubt they will be able to get rid of every admin who handles office work and those that handle payroll. They keep trying but payroll is still here and just waiting for that package we were promised back in 2020.

Payroll is being centralized. Once they have it all standardized, they are shipping it to Mexico and the payroll coordinators will be let go. If you’re a KA on location, it will be moved to central by next year. You will be safe if you interview and get a job as a PC, but that will only be until they offshore payroll. If you stay onsite as an admin, those jobs are going offshore one by one. …..package, please!

They will never figure this out unless everyone goes hourly. It's coming, guarantee it. Contract by contract

so if the jobs are being moved off shore then what will happen to the employees currently doing the job? They will be laid off I assume. I have been waiting since 2020, but payroll is still a mess so I think I am safe for a bit more until they figure out how to get payroll processed by managers!
