Thread regarding AMN Healthcare Services Inc. layoffs

AMN Healthcare Inc 3rd round of layoffs!

Within just 6 months of the first 2 layoffs. AMN has begun another round of layoffs. What does this mean for the company in 2024? Should employees worry further with Q4 layoffs projected to occur in many companies by end of January 2024?

Here's what we know so far:

  • 138 total layoffs
  • Dr Cole Edmonson has left AMN & the role of Chief Clinical Officer has been entirely eliminated from the organization.
  • moral & company culture shifting greatly with higher ups acting like everything is fine totally displacing growing concerns
  • company announced "reset year"

Ever since Susan departed for retirement leaving Cary Grace as the President & CEO things have taken a very bleak turn. Is this a decision from share holders?

Thank you to the person who posted this comment last week:
"Layoffs within in clinical services is beginning again. You can expect at least a 30% reduction in clinical manger layoffs. Clients are bailing on their MSPs and even though there is a information lock down, there is still mass attrition from clients and therefor will result in extensive layoffs company wide.

Sure enough credentialing walked in to massive layoffs this morning. With more to come. Rumor is at least 5 management positions (supervisor & above) will be letgo. Additional security was ordered for Dallas office over night.
Those who have already been laid off have already lost access to everything.

There's talk about a severance package but Terin was sure to tell us our benefits end Friday. Which we're pretty sure is illegal. If we paid into the month for benefits they shouldn't end till end of the month at minimum.
No one knows their severance package until HR connects with them as they will be tailored to your role as well as longevity with the company. No opportunity to find a job within AMN either.

AMN new leadership promotes UNDESERVING PROMOTIONS online. I notice from the layoffs written online by workers, that someone from AMN got promoted to a new TITLE role. Which makes me question, to balance the money. They had to layoff a whole lot people and outsource that money to give promotions out. You see so many promotions title change on LinkedIn, then layoffs. So person in that position who got promotion, was ok with the layoff and got their money increase and a higher title. AMN leadership under Cary is terrible.

Let me be clear. This article is accurate and people who don't know cr-p needs STFU. The layoffs are true , they lay off the credentialing/marketing/recruitment depts and outsourcing their jobs to our 3rd party PSG. LinkedIn should speak the truth in regards to the layoffs. Yes Cary Grace is not a good leader you want to work for, especially with the new leadership in place and the promotion they been giving out. Cary grace goal eliminate all the good leaders who been in position, and hire new squad at a lower rate. They try fire all the tenure workers, which nobody is left. Cary grace is like the hunger games movie president Alma. She preeaches online in video like nice marketing BS. But new AMN leadership and its new current employee staff are snakes. She will never ever be Susan who was the best president for AMN

AMN definitely deserves all the class action lawsuits but be forewarned on the severance agreement that may take away the right to participate away.

In addition to layoffs employees left and right are being fired for petty reasons. Must be an attempt to make layoffs not as severe than they already are.

many of the layoffs are full remote team members. more than the numbers of who work in an office. maybe they are ending remote work

CEO message meeting to team members just ended. 165 people confirmed in the meeting, across multiple departments and including executive leadership - this includes Dallas locations too. 4% of the organization to drive down SG&A closer to 2022 numbers (19% to 17%).

  • No confirmation if there's more to come or the order of who's being laid off/not, they're really banking on the new acquisition to offset costs.
  • No confirm on if they're targeting certain locations or not.

Meeting today 1130a MST, 130p EST, 1230p CST, 1030a PST. "Special CEO Message"
AMN Live was cancelled in lieu of this meeting. We anticipate follow-up answers on layoffs though we may not get any & it may be all politically connected.

This just came off the news in the Texas office. 206 employees are next on the list to be laid off. Our chief clinical officer is packing his things as I type this. He causing a scene! Anyways, this is what I know so far.

Dr. Cole Edmonson laid off

186 employees system wide over night laid off

Meeting that ended 3 mins ago

206 nation wide to be next especially those ones that doesn’t live near or in Texas.

CEO is going to outsource all positions eliminated to India, Philippines, and Pakistan to cut cost of current employees.

AMN will be hiring new employees at minimum wages to replace those that are eliminated in the following 2 weeks.

AMN will be eliminating those that work in California, Nevada, Chicago, Idaho, Florida, Wyoming, Montana, NYC, Denver, and Hawaii.

You will get an email after you logged off and if you didn’t see it oh well you won’t be able to log on after

They will send you a box if you have company issued laptops, computers, and all the shirts and clothing that has AMN logo. Including ones you won or purchased over the time you worked at the company.

They will hold your last checks hostage until you return what is theirs.

If I was you start applying for another job now before you get laid off!
