Is there any reason to still worry about more?

EVEN MORE LAYOFF COMING!
Exec Mgt is not done yet. I told you about the last round, which was correct. Top Mgrs and AEs I know have confirmed they are leaving or will be pushed out in the next 60 days at the most. Last qtrs results were not because the company is doing well but the overhead cost reduction of top and expensive employees. They (specifically George Kurian) will continue this to drive the stock price as high as possible so he can parachute out at the top. NO ONE IS BUYING NETAPP….especially Cisco! I warned you before and I will warn you again…for the last time…GET OUT NOW! You will be happier and make more money. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
Well, this is the tech industry. There are always concerns about layoffs, but they don't work on a timer system. Hence this site.
Stock jumping after hours, after earnings call are good signs. Not the signs of pending layoffs.
rhe last major layoff was the 4th week of January. It would make sense. 🤥
No Layoff before the forced Christmas vacation burn. Second week of January for sure. Enjoy your forced vacation. Use your sick leave before you lose it.
What does the email say?
Oh boy, what now? Earnings are next week.
The email from Cesar is a bit concerning.
Reps cannot hit there numbers because they’ve been pushing them out for the last two years with unrealistic numbers, cutting the commission plan, the backend systems are totally broken and management has omitted it. They can’t get it fixed. They’ve even tried to bring in CRM specialist to fix it and they couldn’t do it. It was literally delayed 18 months and then last year they scrapped it and had to restart it over, which they still have yet to complete. It is literally the worst company I have ever worked for with processes that were so broken and people that did not know the left hand from the right hand, and what was doing, and the processes are totally made up and there are so many workaround because everything is so broken that it’s a totally dysfunctional company. You can’t blame the sales reps. You have to blame the executive management for implementing the strategy and the lack of execution. All of the executives should be fired!!! Get out and get out now!
From another post, it appears some Sales teams were impacted by firings due to low
performance.
These should not be considered "layoffs".
Anyone who has worked in Sales (in any company) knows if you do not hit a certain number, you will be 'let go'. It's not a "layoff". You get fired for low performance.
To call this a layoff is disingenuous and misleading.
If you plan on posting here after getting fired for poor performance, please make sure you're not twisting the truth because you're bitter.
Better yet, GET OUT OF SALES. It su-ks and is a soul-crushing career path.
Layoff season is here and just getting started. Read what CitiGroup is doing on Monday. Historically speaking, early November to mid-Feb is when (tech/finance) layoffs happen like clockwork. At least for the major corporations. Then it trickles down to F1000+. I believe a lot of underperforming teams will be affected. Our last MAJOR layoff was in January, we're two months away.
There’s a wider layoff pending that should hit the core team.
I believe letters are still going out. I know people in sales effected.
This is the only place I've heard of any recently. There's no mention of it in the office or in various chats, or the other site. Any layoffs happening right now are almost certainly performance related and not a RIF. FWIW, this site is inundated with bitter ex-employees, the disgruntled, and people who like stirring the pot, so it's mostly FUD. Don't put too much stock in anything you see here unless you start seeing it in other places.
Before next year, that is.
