I'm feeling overwhelmed by the uncertainty, frustration, and stress that are now a mainstay of working at Seagate. I'm seriously contemplating trading it all for a simpler, more peaceful life. I am even considering tossing in the towel and working a menial job. Honestly, the appeal of a stress-free existence is looking much, much more appealing than the corporate chaos right now.

Teachers are super important, and it's a job where you give back to your community and shape young minds. It used to be rewarding. Thing is being a teacher now su-ks. Watched my wife go through it for 20 years. Its a thankless job dealing with over bearing parents and an administration up your a-s with non stop paperwork and very little to no support. She was on her laptop from 7 to 9 every single night and about 4hr on Sunday night...she topped out at 70k with a masters...ya no..all that "free time" in the summer...a good chuck of it is recertification sh-t...oh and they move your classroom 3 doors down...ya thats your problem in Aug
You'd not regret it. I visit from time to time to see how things are going.
Did you consider becoming a teacher?
We need good teachers who know not just school but corporate world as school prepares for it. In the mean-time teach your co-workers and learn from them.
This is my approach
There is no such thing as a menial job except in your own mind. They are not easy and stress free either. Look at what your janitor that empties your trash has to look forward to every day.
I feel similar. Demoralized by BS’s “leadership.”
