Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

I joined Citi in April

That puts me at just over half a year here. This is the second major layoff in that period. Being one of the last ones to join, my stress levels are through the roof once again waiting to see what's going to happen. The worst thing is, I had other offers. Not as good but still decent offers. No layoffs at either of those companies yet. I still can't figure out why I was offered a job here if the overall goal is to reduce costs and workforce.

I'm in the same boat...joined in June while having another competing offer. I keep feeling I made the wrong choice :(

I was also laid off from another company earlier this year too, and it really su-ks to have to go through this twice in a year.

@qdb+1pARnWAF Assuming you are from pbwm. I joined in July. So, you can imagine my stress level.

You're not alone. I joined the company late last year as a C13 in NYC, though closer to the minimum pay grade for C13s. So not the most expensive but still relatively expensive compared to others. My teammates have years of experience on me and I definitely feel they outclass me in terms of what they know. Having said that, I did have a good mid year review so you can never really tell. Our group already had a larger cut earlier in 2023 so hoping I can make it to Q2.
