ReOrg Hiring Pause?

I am supposedly stuck in pause for a position due to the reorg. I have been told that my official offer is coming - they are no longer interviewing for the req - but they are "sorting out" the reorg stuff. My team is moving BU's. My position is a backfill if that makes any difference. Does this sound like it will get sorted out?

Seems like it’s over. They are not only backfilling but adding heads in my BU.

Still paused. Can someone over there go ahead and give Abby a call? Thanks.

Sorry to hear this. I’ve had friends impacted by similar situations but eventually it all worked out. Overall though, I’ve been told by upper mngt in FI that it’s an enterprise wide hiring freeze and even backfills will be challenging. I’m not looking forward to things (like workload, work environment and expectations) getting worse.

Sorry, I have no current insight as I took VBO in 2021. I know it's very stressful waiting for weeks to know the outcome. I would suggest to check in with whomever your contact for the new job is, be it HR or the hiring manager, maybe once a week or every 2 weeks but give them time to respond. Be brief and positive when you reach out. Keep in mind holidays are coming and people are out of the office or crazy busy.

Thanks for the insight. I am hoping before I find something else they get it together. Any idea if the pauses are widespread right now at Fidelity?

This happened to a couple of guys I worked with years ago, at different times. Both were actually offered the position, put on pause for re org, then the positions were pulled. Eventually they moved on to other better positions, one outside Fido and the other in a different department. Keep your options open and I wish you the best.
