Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

☢️ Avaya CAN'T ENFORCE what they insist you must sign!!!!!!

Visit your EEOC Office. They will get you representation from the National Labor Relations Board or pro-bono attorneys.

The stories of Avaya DEMANDING people agree to the terms are beyond logical.

  1. Federal Law Stipulates that all contracts must be given 21-35 days (depending on the state) to allow employees time to review and consult with an attorney
  1. It is your right to disagree. Share. Discuss. Make Public. All within your rights.
  1. Avaya is not legally allowed to ask that you sign an NDA about your employment concerns. They can only request an NDA about business practices. AND...you are already covered by an NDA about biz practices from your annual consent. So no need to sign again!

KNOW. YOUR. RIGHTS

EEOC is now available via online appointments.

If/When Genesys CRO puts her "Band Back Together"(like every Sales President prior has), it will be in violation of the Reduction in Force Rules. Black & White EEOC case, if you are of a certain age.

Can't wrap my head around the trolls making fun of people who are discussing job losses. Avaya, you really have sunken to an all time new low. Didn't think you could drop any further. Best part -- the job losses are due to failures by management. Not the doers. Yet doers go. And the failed cloud lady always remains. Pathetic.

I can't believe how many people believe Avayas illegal bullying. Of about 15 people I've spoken to, 11 are scared to share or speak up because of the lies Avaya HR has told them. Avaya is in direct violation of the National Labor Review Board Rules. It's nuts how brainwashed many of you are.

When I resigned from Avaya in Spring of 2021, they first attempted to counter. Poorly attempted. Read the Steps as it's Nuts!

  • Demanded an opportunity to counter. I avoided it. Then I decided it was only respectful to allow them the opportunity
  • Manager asked me to discuss counter with HR. HR scolded me for resigning and complained she didn't feel I deserved a counter offer! After the scolding, she demanded to see my offer letter.
  • I told her it was confidential and I wouldn't share without --my new company consenting, and I refused to ask for their consent, so I said no way. If they see value in me to raise my base, great. Otherwise I'm gone.
  • My manager and his boss were so upset. They said "Avaya HR turns away good people"
  • My last day I had to meet with HR again. She sent me some insane NDA/Non Compete. I wasn't part of a RIF w $. And who the heck signs a non compete AFTER they leave a company?

Thus, I totally believe Avaya is trying to push agreements that don't align with current law. It is totally their style.
