I'm a PL. I think I'm a good PL. Yesterday was Boss' Day. Normally it's a day that is fun and gives me energy. Reaffirms my love for my role as a PL.
Yesterday, the only thing I heard was crickets.
I feel my team views me now as in cahoots with the tone deaf EC.
They feel I'm withholding information. They feel I'm plotting their demise. They feel I'm part of the bigger problem at Schwab.
Let me assure any individual contributor reading these posts... I'm as disgusted as you. I'm as in the dark as you. I'm as sad as you.
I'm an empathetic, servant leader. I'm sorry for what you are all going through when it comes to the stress of the unknown. You're not alone.
Be strong and know that you are talented. You will land upright... with our without Schwab.

Wow, people are hateful on here. I don’t think the point was not getting something for boss’s day. The point was he or she wants to clear up that unless you report to and SVP or above, your leader has no more knowledge than you and not to blame them. I appreciate the post whoever made it.
If this is a genuine post, I feel sorry for you since you are clearly out of touch with reality. These made up holidays are the last thing on people’s minds right now. Way to make it all about you. I feel even more sorry for your directs.

Why do we need PLs, they don't do anything. most case don't know much and often times come in the way. Really what do you all do?

Being a BM is a thankless job. But I knew that going into this. You have to find your own reasons to stick with it and find fulfillment. You can’t expect your team to carry that load for you. They’re juggling their own sh-t and they have less power than you do. The world is going to sh-t and they have fewer options than you do. This post is honestly so embarrassing, I hope it’s a troll.

We need to abolish Hallmark holidays. Every day is at least one ‘special’ day. It means none are.
MDs are getting some information. PLs at supervisory levels aren’t.
ICs likely aren’t reading much into any of it. Neither should you.
