Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Walt Q/A

Not much new, but did confirm the bonus eligibility for everyone laid off this year. That’s not a timing thing, that’s just doing the right thing.

So we know bonus this year won't be 100%, with this new info, it seems to be much less than we thought.
Paying little extra to those who got laid off, and getting good word of "doing right thing", probably less than marketing cost to fix damaged reputation

Bonus? How did you get a bonus? I cut out bonuses this year.

That's assuming any of us get a bonus worth speaking of this year.

After listening to this it seems evident this won’t happen until after next integration. But booked in 2023. Paid in 2024. He emphasized the bonus for 2023 and that’s not happening until 2024. But hey what do I know…nothing.

He is a piece of sh-t! So wonder how much time/money they pay someone to money the external sites where people are posting. If you are laid off and move your savings somewhere else - be sure and voice your opinion as a client - because you will be one once you are let go

The more you listen to these Q&A sessions the more you truly realize how fake Walt really is. Schwab has become the laughingstock of the industry due to how poorly the employee transition was handled. TD was a company that put employees first and we tried to change their mindset to put the client first and that failed horribly. Schwab thought they could force people to change and those same people decided to leave versus remaining at such a toxic environment.
My favorite part of the session was when he said that they do not put any weight on what is posted anonymously on outside sites and care only what clients say. Again this is very different from the TD environment which did want to hear from its employees and address their concerns as well. This site is widely used by employees of Schwab because this is the only place we feel safe asking tough questions without being reprimanded.

🤣🤣 yeah sure, I’m about to believe they’re doing “the right thing”. The volumes with integration have been astronomical, if they had any sense they’d hold off on layoffs because we cannot afford to lose people right now. Holding off even a couple of weeks would leave people eligible for annual bonus with the 60 day WARN. It has NOTHING to do with it being the right thing but bad timing and execution on ECs part AGAIN. It’s like amateur hour with these people.
