Hiring Freeze in PI

I’ve been hearing rumors that there is a hiring freeze in PI. Supposedly this is due to the reorg.

Can anyone confirm?

Keeping employees in a constant state on dread is the American way. The old saying keep them scared and they’ll work harder is a real practice , but the state of the world has only caused everyone to check out and work just hard enough not to get fired.

I am supposedly stuck in pause for a position due to the reorg. I have been told that my official offer is coming - they are no longer interviewing for the req - but they are "sorting out" the reorg stuff, my team is moving BU's. My position is a backfill if that makes any difference. Does this sound like it will get sorted out?

You all can ignore re-orgs unless you get a new direct boss as a result.
I am going to guess that re-org's which impacted my group happened 15? times in my 24 years at FIDO.

Only two of them resulted in me reporting to a new boss.
If you are technical simply keep your nose in the details and you will be just fine.
The amount of chatter surrounding re-orgs is constant and honestly tiring and a waste of energy.

Fidelity's ever-threatening, looming reorg rumors, are always around to keep people anxious about their career here.
