Scent of a Woman

According to today's Wall Street Journal, Federal Judge Jones, who oversaw the CHK Chapter 11 proceedings, has resigned! Seems his paramour was counsel for CHK and the relationship was not disclosed.

The Questions Abound!!

Judge was riding the lawyer or the lawyer was riding the judge's pony. Take your pick.

Please read the 5th paragraph in the Wall Street Journal article. It is very specific. Furthermore, I was a party in the CHK CH 11 proceedings and received all the pleadings, notifications, rulings etc. from Jackson Waller.

I can’t see anything in the WSJ article either, found only this

The relationship between the judge and the lawyer surfaced publicly earlier this week when an individual plaintiff sued Judge Jones over rulings that he made while presiding over the 2020 bankruptcy case of offshore-drilling company McDermott International. The law firm Kirkland & Ellis represented McDermott with Jackson Walker as local counsel.

Did Jackson Walker really represent CHK as well or you are just making things up?

I've read this article twice, no mention of CHK at all.
