Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

2019 Layoffs

The big layoff in 2019, there were rumors for a month. An announcement a week before and then the cut. Aug 1 speculation. September 10 announcement. September 17th cut.

This is INSANE that they have let this one go on for MONTHS.

My recollection is a reason given for the layoffs then was interest rates were too low, which impacted revenues and made cuts necessary.

That Wall Street Journal leaker is also known as the RTODelayedLeaker on this board. They are one and the same.

They only announced the 2019 layoffs because the Wall Street Journal leaked it at 8pm one evening, we all came into work the next morning talking about it, it was only AFTER we all found out that the firm sent an email. They’ve been screwing this up for years.

They also botched the announcement of TDA being acquired by Schwab. It was on the news before a communication went out to employees.

I am guessing OP was not there when that happened. They botched that one even more. Where it came out on Yahoo finance before these mo--ns even sent a mail.
