Earlier today I was asked to provide a list of projects I’m working on for a “realignment initiative” with the larger org. It might be legit but I can’t help thinking I’m on the chopping block.

OP here- seems like they legit needed to do a realignment. I was in a ton of meetings and we re-assigned different projects and added new ones. So I was mistaken in thinking this was directly to do with layoffs. But it’s hard not to read into everything right now.
really - they need a list of your projects - how out of touch are they - they should get rid of them for not knowing what is going on in their area
I don't know, I would be concerned.
Honestly, I don't think anyone is planning that deeply around here that they will be doing preemptive KT. You are probably ok.
PL here. Don't assume that your ratings will save you. I know for a fact that lots of high performers are getting whacked with little remorse. Horse trading is limited.
OP here- not a PL and have good ratings on my review- exceed on some goals, meets on some and overall hit an exceeds and got promoted earlier this year. I hope that counts for something but we never know.
yea for the last month or two we've been asked to "look to ways to partner" and overlap with other orgs..
layoffs or not. the re-org is gonna be awful
