If you think heritage Mobil and heritage Exxon isn't still a thing at ExxonMobil you must be new. After the merger there were definitely two teams and the Mobil team was run off, sidelined, etc. I expect the same will happen to heritage Pioneer employees. Saw it happen to heritage XTO and BOPCO employees.

Our HR exec cut PXD’s entire Comms dept a few months ago and outsourced it to a PR firm (clearly a great move as is evident from the social post sc--w-ups), and let two junior HR reps manage that. So, no- there’s no Comms team to ‘cut first’. HR already took care of that for XOM.
Exxon’s post had typos (forgot to close quotation marks) … they ended up deleting it. Sloppy
