Thread regarding Western Digital Corp. layoffs

How much of a pay cut would you be willing to take just to get away?

A guy I work with took a job that pays 30 percent less than WD. I think that's excessive.

Take in account the stress and toxic work environment at WD he made out by leaving.
There is no price for ones own health so he got a pay raise.

I left 2 years ago. took a job with 10% less, assumming bonus ... at WD.

I am glad I left, as bonus gone at WD at least for now.

I ain't taking any paycut. But I am willing to move if I am paid the same or higher for a different industry other than storage. Storage su-ks!!!

WD pays a bit below average overall, so any pay cut means they are underpaid. Unless this person you know is still young and will get great skills and experience from his new job, he'll be in the worse shape.
