Why don't you worry about what you can control such as doing a good job and satisfying your boss? Do that and your odds of being let go, if there even is a layoff, will be a lot lower.

The people who know what the plan is aren't going to post here.
This whole board is about rumor, speculation, and rehashing things that have already happened.
If that bothers you, maybe you should go to another web site.
I think they want to have salaried employees they can send into the plants to keep them running during a strike.
After the strike ends, I expect they'll have big layoffs and reorgs to make things the way the SLT wants them.
Whether that means flattening the org structure, outsourcing IT to India, who knows.
