Those over 40 just got rolled over the coals. You don't get your severance for another 2 weeks due to when they sent out the paperwork and the 7 day waiting period. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

D-mbest post I’ve seen, well over 40, got mine exactly when I was supposed to get it.
I'm confused, why would age have anything to do with when you sign contract/ waiting period?
Wow
Yup signed and returned is the same day. Crown signed it same day, got my severance in my bank account yesterday. If I got screwed by anyone it’s the government in taxes and not being allowed to collect unemployment at the same time. But whatevs, thank you all very little.
It depends on when you signed. I’m over 40. Signed and sent back 8/28. Ultipro shows check for 9/8.
Those over 40 have a mandatory 7 day waiting period after the contract is finalized. The contracts went out and a week later (oe longer for some) the HR VP signed them. The clock doesn't start until the contract is fully executed meaning those under 40 are getting paid this week. Those over 40 have to wait another 2 to 4 weeks. Same with benefits restarting. If toy look at the contract for my department all that were separated, except 1 person, was over 45 with majority in late 50s and early 60s. The median average time with company was 11 years.
What does this have to do with being 40?
