I get why TD clients are upset. I have accounts at both TDA and Schwab. At TDA I'm considered an Active Trader and use TOS almost exclusively. To this day, I still feel like I get lost every time I log into the Schwab website. Many times I just log out and started over. Don't even get me started on the apps. Unfortunately my favorite app, TDA Mobile will die a slow death and I will either need to get on board with TOS Mobile or Schwab's excuse of an app. Maybe if I'm let go, I'll just find another place to take my money.

I’ve had to walk multiple TD clients through the navigation of their browser to schwab.com itself and was yelled at this morning by someone who thought Schwab’s website gave them a virus that caused their printer to become possessed with a virus. There will always be people confused with their computers but I’ve never had to facepalm this much in 3 days.

I mean for anyone that has used the TDA platforms and then had to use Schwabs, can you blame them?

What you’re talking about isn’t just change. They see it as a downgrade and I can’t blame them for it. For example, now they have to wait 2 or 3 days for funds they transferred in before they can use them. I don’t know what to say other than, “I know, it su-ks. I’m sorry.”

I should provide some clarity, I realize. I’m happy to empower others. I love what I do. This is a really frightening topic for a lot of people and what I can do to help them I will because everyone deserves a shot at this. But everY TD client I’ve talked to has just been so angry and resistant to any change that I can’t even get a word in. They yell and scream about being forced to move, and I’m just so tired.

Well, you should probably be on the list to get fired. If you can’t handle clients that aren’t as well versed as you (and actually empower them), then you’re doing a disservice to yourself.

Embrace empowering others, buddy.
