Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Scoozi, thought the lights worked just fine

Recall-a-Rama at Ford these days. Can't get out of our own way.

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford Edge crossovers over a problem with the headlights.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the front right headlight may be too bright or aimed incorrectly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

The hazards: a headlight that is too bright or aimed incorrectly may cause a glare to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: right headlight assembly

Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford Edge models built at the Oakville Assembly plant between April 17th, 2023, and May 29th, 2023.

Number of vehicles affected: 8,523

The fix: dealers will inspect and replace the right headlight assembly as necessary, free of charge.

near NHTSA: be in a ford fusion in the left turn lane waiting to turn left at a traffic light, facing a Cadillac Escalade coming the other direction waiting in his left turn lane.. THEN you'll know what bright headlights are... :)
